FAQs

What is the NCLEX readiness test? ›

NCLEX Predictor Tests are assessments designed to estimate your readiness to take the NCLEX. These tests evaluate your knowledge and critical thinking abilities in nursing practice, ensuring you possess the necessary skills to provide safe and effective patient care.

Is it good to get all 145 questions on NCLEX? ›

Since the exam is adaptive, answering all 145 items does not mean you failed the exam; the computer took longer to determine your ability. Based on the computer adaptive principle, the exam platform can shut off before the 145 questions if it determines your nursing ability to be superb.

Is 60% on Kaplan NCLEX good? ›

65 is passing, over 60 is passing, and so forth. I got 62 percent on both Trainer 6 and 7. The Kaplan book says aim for over 60.

What score do I need on Kaplan to pass NCLEX? ›

At Kaplan, 65% correct corresponds to passing on the NCLEX exam.

How many questions can you miss and still pass NCLEX? ›

You can miss up to 85 questions before officially passing the NCLEX exam. But it's important to note that pass and fail scores are more based on the NCLEX's confidence interval. You technically pass when correctly answering enough questions to remain above the passing line with a 95% confidence interval.

What answers should you avoid on the NCLEX? ›

Look for helpful keywords

A helpful tip you can practice is to avoid picking answers with words that focus on absolutes, such as always, only, never and all, because few things, especially in the medical or nursing field, operate or function without an exception.

What words are bolded on NCLEX? ›

Yes, the NCLEX bolds key words such as best, most, essential, first, priority, immediately, highest, initial, next, refute, increased, decreased and support. Does NCSBN use generic and trade names on items with medications? The NCLEX uses consistent language for every examinee.

Do the first 15 questions count on NCLEX? ›

However, because 15 questions will be unscored pretest or pilot questions for use on future exams, the number of scored questions ranges from 70-135. All examinees have up to five hours to complete the NCLEX.

What are the hardest NCLEX questions? ›

Each category of questions requires an increasing level of critical thinking skills. Analysis, synthesis and evaluation questions would be considered higher-level NCLEX questions. Synthesis questions are based on creating or proposing solutions, such as a plan of care.

What is the most accurate predictor exam for NCLEX? ›

Unmatched predictive accuracy

SIMCLEX® isn't just a practice tool—it's your secret weapon for predicting NCLEX success. Our advanced algorithms adjust each question to your level, giving you a precise read on your readiness for the exam.

Has anyone failed the ngn NCLEX in 85 questions? ›

If you answer enough questions correctly within the minimum amount (85 questions), you will pass the exam. However, it is also possible to fail NCLEX in 85 questions if the difficulty of the next question is progressive in a predicted order.

How do you know if you did bad on NCLEX? ›

If you have passed the NCLEX, you should expect to receive your official license in the mail within a few weeks. On the other hand, if you have failed the exam, you will be sent an ATT that will allow you to retake the exam. Therefore, the absence of a new ATT is a surefire sign that you have passed the NCLEX.

Does the last question on NCLEX matter? ›

If the last question is below the level of difficulty needed to pass, the candidate fails. If the last question is above the level of difficulty needed to pass, the candidate passes.

What is the passing grade for Kaplan? ›

Your results include individual scores for each section and a composite, or average, score for the test as a whole. A passing composite score generally falls between 60% and 70%, but each school maintains its scoring standards.

What is the passing score for the workplace readiness test? ›

The Workplace Readiness Test will be: 100 multiple choice questions. One hour timed test. A passing score is 75% or higher.

What is the average score on the Kaplan diagnostic test MCAT? ›

For those who actually ended up enrolling, the average MCAT score was 511.9. What does this mean for your personal target score? Aiming for something around 512 would be ideal. I personally got a 498 on my diagnostic and after 5 months of consistent studying was able to reach a competitive 516 score.
